Japanese Sencha, Bag of 50 Sachets

The sachets are perfect for mornings when I want a proper cup without the fuss of loose leaves, and the flavor is clean and grassy with a gentle sweetness. It's from Shizuoka, which I appreciate since I've had "sencha" elsewhere that was clearly not.

The bag of 50 sachets is perfect for daily brewing, and this being actual Shizuoka sencha makes all the difference. I opened one up and the aroma filled the kitchen right away, and every cup tastes clean and grassy without any bitterness.

The tea itself is smooth and clearly high-quality, but the sachets are a bit more fiddly than loose leaf—you really have to let them steep the full time to get any depth. Fine for a quick cup, though, and the Shizuoka origin shows in the clean finish.
