Wu-i Ta Chung Pao

The first steep hit me with that signature roasted warmth from the Wuyi Mountains, and the brew held its character through several infusions without turning bitter. It’s got that deep, earthy finish that lingers nicely, perfect for a slow afternoon.

The mineral undertones and roasted depth are exactly what I hoped for from a Wuyi rock oolong. Brewed it gongfu-style for six infusions and the leaves kept giving, slowly shifting from bold and toasty to something softer and sweeter. A real treat for anyone who appreciates the traditional character

It’s a decent oolong, but I expected more depth from something tied to the original three plants. The roast comes through nicely, though the brew fades fast after the third steep, so it feels a bit average for the price.
