I was worried the green tea would taste too grassy, but the Bancha base is mellow enough that it doesn't overpower anything. You can actually smell the roasted rice as soon as you open the bag, and it makes the whole cup feel warm and nutty.

The toasted rice kernels give this such a warm, nutty smell the moment you open the bag. It steeps into a mellow cup that's less grassy than regular green tea, and I've been drinking it every evening instead of coffee.

I wasn't sure about a green tea with rice in it, but the toasted kernels give it this warm, nutty flavor that's way softer than regular green tea. You still get that grassy Bancha base underneath, just rounded off nicely.
