I was worried the pouchong base would taste too dark, but it's just slightly browner than green tea and lets the fresh jasmine flowers come through cleanly. Second steep is even softer.

The jasmine smell hits you the second you open the tin, and it tastes just as floral as it smells. I like that the pouchong base is a little browner than regular green tea — it gives it a rounder, less grassy finish. Already halfway through my second pouch.

The pouchong base really comes through — slightly browner and softer than green tea, so it doesn't get bitter if I leave the bag in a minute too long. The jasmine smells fresh, not perfumey. Already on my second tin.
