Dit zeer gewaardeerde, levendige bloempatroon siert huizen sinds de 18e eeuw. Geïnspireerd door Aziatische planten en Indiase textiel, omvatte het granaatappel en hibiscus. Door verzamelaars vaak 'tabaksblad' genoemd, was het een modieuze import naar het Amerikaanse Zuiden als fijn porselein.
