An ancient tea from Yunnan, Pu-Erh's earthy pleasures have a passionate group of followers. This particular version is a dark, savory cooked Pu-Erh and makes for a striking brew. Brigitte Harney is especially a fan. This Pu-Erh is shou style. Shou Pu-Erh is differentiated from sheng Pu-Erh in that it is fermented before it is packaged, compressed, and sold for consumption.

Amelia V. ★★★★★

The dark, savory flavor is exactly what I look for in a cooked Pu-Erh, and it brews up almost like coffee in color. Earthy but smooth, no bitterness even when I let it steep a bit long.

Olivia ★★★★★

The earthy, savory flavor is exactly what I wanted from a cooked Pu-Erh, deep and almost mushroomy in the best way. I've been brewing it strong in the mornings and it holds up well without turning bitter.

Daniel ★★★★★

The cooked cakes break apart easily and the first steep comes out almost ink-black, savory and smooth with zero bitterness. I've been drinking it every morning instead of coffee and it doesn't leave me jittery.
