Victorian London Fog

Victorian London Fog - Main image

Victorian London Fog is a full-bodied black tea scented with bergamot, sweet vanilla, and a touch of lavender. It takes its name from the Victorian custom of pouring steamed milk into Earl Grey, and we built the blend to live up to that cozy ritual.

The aroma leads with vanilla and soft floral notes, and the cup follows with citrusy bergamot underneath. It was the first winning recipe from our customer creation contest, chosen by our community from the final five of thousands of submissions, and it has stayed a favorite ever since.

Adam X. ★★★★★

The lavender is subtle enough that it doesn't fight the bergamot, which is what usually ruins these blends for me. Steeped it a full five minutes and it stayed smooth rather than turning bitter.

Robert ★★★★★

The vanilla comes through right at the front before the bergamot kicks in, and it's a much smoother cup than plain Earl Grey. I've been steeping it a bit longer and adding steamed milk the way the description mentions, and it holds up without going bitter.

Penelope ★★★★★

The lavender is what makes this one stand out — it's subtle, not soapy, and it softens the bergamot just enough. I've been steeping it a bit longer and adding steamed milk the way the tin suggests, and it's become my whole evening ritual.
