The chocolate aroma hits you the second the hot water touches the leaves. That Chinese black base keeps it from tasting like dessert in a cup, and I've been drinking it plain every afternoon this week.

The dry leaf actually smells like cocoa before you even steep it, which I didn't expect from a black tea base. Steeped about three minutes and it drinks smooth with the chocolate coming through more on the finish than up front, no bitterness at all.
