安巴盜賊茶

The story behind this tea got me to order it, but the flavor is what keeps me coming back. It's a proper Sri Lankan black tea from the central hills, malty and smooth without any bitterness if you don't oversteep it.

Bought this mostly out of curiosity about the story behind it, and the leaves themselves are surprisingly whole and wiry, not the dusty bits you get in most bags. It brews up smooth with almost no bitterness even when I forget and leave it sitting.

Steeped a pot for five minutes and the liquor came out bright and almost floral, no bitterness at all. Knowing it's grown and picked by women on a small Sri Lankan estate makes the morning cup feel a little more meaningful.
